On Wednesday 21 March 2001 "Hellenic Cosmos"celebrated its three years of successful operation with an event that took place in its areas. The celebration was opened by the President of the Foundation of the Hellenic World Mr Lazaros Efraimoglou, who obviously overwhelemed by emotions welcomed the guests. Then he invited to the stand Mrs Ioanna Papantoniou, stage and costume designer and President of the Peloponnesean Folkore Foundation. Mrs Papantoniou with her associates in the design of the exhibition "Krossia, Chitones, Doulamades, Velades - 4000 Years of Hellenic Costume" Mrs Sophia Spyratou, choreographer, and Mr Konstantinos Tseklenis, director, talked about their experience in collaborating with the Foundation. Right after, Mrs Alexandra Nikiforidou talked about the work of the Foundation and the organisation of the exhibition "National Events and Historical Memory", the first exhibition that was hosted at Hellenic Cosmos on March 1998. Many people from science, art, politics and business accepted the invitation of the Foundation. All the guests had the opportunity to watch a new virtual reality programme at "Magic Screen", where, by selecting fragments of vessels and putting them together, they saw representations of Olympic sports come to life.
