Mr. Aristotle Pavlidis, Minister of the Aegean and Island Policy, Mr. Dimitris Kourkoumelis, General Secretary of the Ministry of the Aegean and Island Policy visited Hellenic Cosmos

On Monday 25th of October 2004 Mr. Aristotle Pavlidis, Minister of the Aegean and Island Policy, Mr. Dimitris Kourkoumelis, General Secretary of the Ministry of the Aegean and Island Policy, and their associates visited Hellenic Cosmos, where they were welcomed by Mr. Lazaros Efraimoglou, President of the Foundation, and Mr. Dimitris Efraimoglou, Managing Director of the Foundation.

The Minister, the General Secretary and their associates were toured in the exhibition "Tales of the Olympic Games. A unique exhibition" which uses both traditional exhibition media and applications of new technologies, and visited Ancient Olympia through the Virtual Reality programme "A Journey to Ancient Olympia" at the "Kivotos" system. This is an important technological and innovative achievement which has been elaborated and created exclusively by Greeks.

Their next stop was the Foundation's other important exhibition "Is There Are An Answer To Everything? A journey to the world of Greek mathematics", which records the extremely long history of mathematics. Then, they were informed about the Foundation's printed and electronic publications, as well as about the Foundation's work in general.

Mr. Aristotle Pavlidis and Mr. Dimitris Kourkoumelis learned about the progress of the works on the buildings "Tholos" and "Theatron" which will be completed in 2006. The Minister's comment at the visitors' book: "I was filled with admiration with what I saw at the facilities of Hellenic Cosmos and I would like to congratulate the people responsible for this effort, which is of exceptional importance to Hellenism", epitomizes his positive view from his visit to the Foundation's activities.
